We all know the consumer packaged goods industry has a plastic problem, and there is no perfect solution. But we are committed to minimize our environmental impact when it comes to packaging. We have also extensively searched worldwide to find the most sustainable packaging solution available for our yogurt. Our choice drastically minimizes plastic going to the landfill, while still maintaining the yogurt's safety & shelf-life. We are actively collaborating with our cup supplier to explore alternative lining options, with the ultimate goal of introducing a fully compostable cup - although this is a big challenge. This innovative packaging approach marks the first of its kind in the Canadian yogurt category, significantly reducing the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills. In fact, we estimate an impressive 88% reduction in plastic compared to a similar 450g plastic yogurt container. We believe reducing overall plastic usage has the most impact on the planet, due to recycling rates being so low in Canada.
